Founded in the chaotic months after the events of [[Survivor XVI]], the '''AEGIS''' organization serves to investigate and analyze dimensional anomalies within the Continuous and beyond. Though currently on minimal resources while the Eternal City is being repaired after the damage dealt by the attack of the Void-King Vire.

AEGIS was formed under a direct administrative action of the Eternal Council under initial supervision of [[Fabian]] the Beta. Fabian entrusted the management of AEGIS and information processing to the Information and Records Epsilon [[Sophia]]. It was both she and Fabian who chose from among the Eternals five individuals best suited to perform the tasks required of AEGIS. 

The expediance to which AEGIS was formed has come under suspiscion by many lower-eschelon Eternals who have questioned Fabian's quick judgement. Many wonder that if the founding of AEGIS served a larger goal within the political structure of the Eternal society. Only time and the efforts of the AEGIS team itself will determine that.
