'''Kaira Tamiani''' was Ashilyn's first pick to the [[AEGIS]] team. Ashilyn's senior by some two-hundred years, Kaira is a skilled manipulator of magical arts and versed in several different styles of thumaturgic study. Kaira is a bit of a recluse from Eternal society as a whole, serving quietly as an Omicron with focus towards magical research and information maintainence, she was both surprised and reluctant to heed the call when she was offered a position within AEGIS. Kaira's expertise in the fields of magical study are few and far between, often she is considered a prodigy to such reknown spellcasters as Yuo the Cloud Sorceress and Lenna the Muse of Magic. Though she still has centuries to go before she matches their level of mastery, Kaira shows great potential for advancement, though such aspirations never show through her rather stoic demeanor. Few Eternals know the name Kaira Tamiani, but those that do speak it with respect for someone with her determination and strength of will.

==Skills and Appearance==

Kaira carries herself with a silent pride, always standing tall and proud despite the situation, she isn't one to take shame or failure lightly, and due to her strict upbringing and ridig parents she has come to develop a complex about personal failure which may very well have driven her to become the determined and focused woman she is today. With all her remarkable potential and prowess, Kaira is often found lacking in social graces, she is a shy and vulnerable woman beneath her nonchalant exterior and few ever see that side of her. Though not a social butterfly, Kaira often makes up for her lack of presence with strong and commanding features. Long and straight hair of a seafoam shade that tends to become wavy near the end of its length, steel gray eyes, a slightly strong jaw and standing just under 5' 10" makes her hard demeanor seem ever the more commanding.

Kaira's repitoire of magic is limited to her imagination, through her study and personal investment of time she has mastered hundreds of esoteric forms of spellcasting from traditional inscribed magic to creative sorcery involving manipulation of Aether and various elemental energies. Kaira however, has a distinct lacking in conjuration magics of all kinds, it is an area of expertise she is lacking in and one that she is fervently seeking to expand her understanding of. Should Kaira's magical skill fail her on the battlefield, she has also learned several talents that grant her the ability to augment her own physique for limited periods of time, accelerating her speed, agility and physical strength to superhuman levels. She was trained as a tradional fencer and learned to apply aspects of the style into a one-handed swordfighting style that is reminiscent of the former Eternal [[Ceriseth]]. Many have speculated on the similarities between the two women, few have ventured beyond the realm of speculation and rumor, however.


==History==

Kaira was born and raised among the Eternals, though her early years aren't well known among her peers it is believed that Kaira's parents fought in both the Second and Third Void Wars. Shortly after the Third Void War is it believed that Kaira's family departed from the City of the Eternals to persue personal interests within the Continuous and retired from the stage of history, leaving Kaira in the care of the academy she was trained at. Kaira has little memory of her family in her youth, and as time has passed has grown to both resent and greatly miss both of her parents, but has never pressed to find where they have gone or more information on them.

Kaira became a member of the [[Knights Arcana]] shortly before the attack on the Eternal City in [[Survivor XVI]], joining the ranks of the very organization the Eternal known as Ceriseth had abandoned.

In recent years Kaira gained notoriety among her peers during the defense of the Eternal City in the seige laid by the Void-King [[Vire Agraumar]]. Using her sorcerous talents, Kaira was able to reinforce the protective shield around the city when the shield-generators threatened to collapse under the strain of the attacks. Though the shield did eventually collapse, allowing fighting to flow into the city, Kaira's actions bought the city's defenses vital time and saved countless lives while the evacuation process of the outer-rim of the city was under way.

In the months following the attack, Kaira has been recruited into the [[AEGIS]] orginzation to look into dimensional anomalies that have arisen since the end of the conflict.
