Very goal oriented, she knows exactly what she wants, and that is to be made into a human instead of living her life as a monster, and she is willing to do absolutely anything to achieve this goal with no remorse. == History == Before she was a homunculus, before she died, Lust was an ordinary woman living in the country of Ishbal, in love with a man, as many women are. But one day, she fell ill, and after a short time, died from it. Her lover became obsessed with alchemy, wanting to bring her back. Unfortunately for him, the religion that Ishballans practiced forbade alchemy. He didn't care. She was taken from him too soon, and he would give anything to bring her back, so he studied human transmutation. He created Lust, the blob of flesh and blood on the floor of his home. It was never known who found her, but someone did, and gave her the red stones to give her shape. All that we do know is that it was one of Dante's group - possibly the homunculus Envy. Dante is an ageless alchemist that uses the Philosopher's Stone as a means for immortality. She tells the homunculi of their soulless state, and uses the fragmented memories of their past life to manipulate them. The Philosopher's Stone is created by sacrificing thousands of souls into making it, so she has the homunculi manipulate people, villages, alchemists, and entire nations to create one, promising to use it's power to make them human again. She then uses it to transfer her soul into another, younger body. Lust lived her entire life as a homunculus believing Dante's lie, spending time with Envy and Gluttony travelling around, giving the red stone to talented alchemists, showing them it's power, and making them want to make more - to make the real thing. They will do anything to achieve this goal, be it starting a full-scale war, annihilating an entire race of people, or pretending to be in love with the alchemist. One day, in a town called Lior, while using the power of the red stone to create a false prophet with what appeared to be divine powers, two alchemists searching for the Philosopher's Stone came to investigate - just like the homunculi had planned. They were Edward and Alphonse Elric, and quickly exposed the prophet Cornello as a fake, but caught the interest of Lust. She would spend the next few years keeping an eye on the two boys as they pursued the Philosopher's Stone, until finally they confronted each other in the Fifth Laboratory, an "abandoned" research facility owned by the State Military. Conveniently located next to a prison, it had a steady supply of death row inmates for experimentation and sacrifice for the Philosopher's Stone. Using Alphonse as a hostage, Lust tried to force Edward into making a Philosopher's Stone there, but he was unable to sacrifice the lives of others to do it. Before they could give him further "persuastion", the brothers were rescued by a serial killer called Scar - who happened to be the brother of Lust's lover in her former life. Why did they know about the Fifth Lab in the first place? Because Dante placed Pride in the military, as the Fuhrer, in charge of the entire nation. With this, she had all of the bodies she could ever throw into making the Stone, all Pride had to do was declare war and then send soldiers in to die. He also had access to State Alchemists' research and talents, all the nation's knowledge, and everything else that comes with running a militant country. Of course, after escaping the Lab 5 incident, the Elrics knew too much, so Lust was temporarily taken off of the Philosopher's Stone case and, along with Sloth and Envy, sent to play "clean up" on anyone who knew too much. Once this was done, it was back to business as usual. After a run-in with an alchemist she had met and enticed with the prospect of the healing abilities of the Philosopher's Stone (he needed it because Envy spread a nasty plague in his village, and she was sent to provide the red stone to him), an alchemist she pretended to love, she began having memories of her former life. This man, Lujon, reminded her of Scar's brother, and every time she was with him she began to see visions of her past. Fragmented memories that she couldn't put together beyond the basics of "I was in love with him, and we were happy" and "I died of illness". She couldn't remember his name, her name, or why any of it was happening. Shortly after dealing with Lujon, she met once again with Edward and Scar, and found out that Scar was planning on creating a Philosopher's Stone to carry on his brother's legacy. He would create it in the town where it all started - Lior. After Pride used the military to start a war with Ishbal, they sent in an alchemist to attack Lior until retaliation, when they could send in the troops for a full-on assault and have Scar use all the souls to make the stone. Scar had a different plan, and evacuated the citizens of Lior before killing the Crimson Alchemist send to stir up the riot, and throwing him out of the town. Killing a State Alchemist was enough to send the military into Lior, and Scar had his ingredients. Lust, however, was tired of waiting on this big elaborate plan and simply wanted to become human, leaving the other homunculi and going straight to Scar, knowing that she had to get the stone before anyone else. She found Scar with Alphonse Elric, who the Crimson Alchemist had turned into a bomb. Scar, knowing what it's like to lose a brother, didn't want to put Edward through that, and did all he could to save Alphonse from the fate of going boom. The only solution, however, was to make Alphonse into the Philosopher's Stone, much to Lust's dismay. Scar's contigency plan, however, was something he had taken from his brother's grave - a locket given to him by the woman that Lust used to be, containing a lock of her hair. When a homunculus comes into contact with the remains of their human self, they cannot move. He gave this locket to Alphose so Lust couldn't get near him, and went off to perform the transmutation. Lust followed, doing all she could to get her way, but there wasn't anything she could do. She simply got out of the town when Scar went to make the Stone. After it was done, and Lior was no more than an empty desert, devoid of both lives and structures, she went to the Elric Brothers, telling them what happened, and warning them to run away before the other homunculi or the State get to them. For this treason Dante sealed her, using special spears to stick her to a wall in their headquarters until they could decide what to do with her. It was then that Lust learned everything about Dante and her lies, what she would use the Philosopher's Stone for, that she was manipulating Lust to assist Scar the entire time, and, most importantly, that she would never make Lust a human. Then, for some inexplicable reason, she sent Lust, Sloth, and Wrath after the Elric brothers to get the Philosopher's Stone. Needless to say, at the first opportunity, Lust attacked Wrath and helped out Edward, asking him to make her human in exchange for help in defeating Dante and the other homunculi. == Combat == When she has to fight, Lust has two powers. The first is that she can harden, sharpen, and extend her fingernails, effectively making them spears or knives, for all intents and purposes - hence why she is known as the Ultimate Lance. The second is that she can regenerate from ANY wound, given enough time. The more severe, the longer it takes. She can come back from death so long as she still has some of the red stone in her body, so after a series of deaths, she would hastily try and eat some stones to make sure she doesn't die for good. == Personality == Lust is a cold, ruthless person - something you might expect from one without a soul. While her main goal is to become human, she realizes now that it's almost an impossiblity unless she can somehow convince Edward to. Having already found the Philosopher's Stone, she won't really need to look for it or try and get people to create it, and having a scant amount of red stones left, probably won't give them away as much as she did in my last two performances. However, that's not to say she won't still be a cautious, sneaky manipulator in search of some other way to become human, or even just restore her memories. This is her main goal now, and she'll do whatever it takes to reach that end. While she can hold her own in battle (and quite well, that whole regeneration thing and all), Lust's main weapon is her tongue - her words hurt more than her claws ever could. She's able to bend the truth to almost anything she wants without actually lying to you, and this is generally enough to get people to do exactly what she wants them to. She'll pretend to love you, pretend to teach you, or pretend to care about what you want to do - and, who knows, perhaps it won't be pretending, if your goals coincide with her's. == Tournament Appearances == {| width="100%" |- style="border: 1px solid #7577B7; color: #000000; background-color: #E4E4F2" !width="25%"|Tournament !width="15%"|Iteration !width="20%"|Status !width="20%"|Sponsored By !width="20%"|Eliminated |- style="border: 1px solid #7577B7; color: #000000; background-color: #E4E4F2" ||[[Survivor XIV]] ||FMA13592 ||Sponsor ||[[JSG]] ||Round 4 |- style="border: 1px solid #7577B7; color: #000000; background-color: #E4E4F2" ||[[Survivor XVIII: The Xi Test]] ||FMA13592 ||Sponsor ||[[JSG]] ||Round 3 |- style="border: 1px solid #7577B7; color: #000000; background-color: #E4E4F2" ||[[Eternity: Lines of Conflict]] ||FMA13592 ||Sponsor ||[[JSG]] ||Finalist |- style="border: 1px solid #7577B7; color: #000000; background-color: #E4E4F2" |} [[Category:Characters]]
