'''Morrigan Aensland''' is a succubus from the Darkstalkers series destined to become the queen of the Makai.  She doesn't like responsibility or the Makai realm all that much and constantly ventures into the human world for excitement.

== History ==

Morrigan is the daughter of Belial Aensland, one of the three kings of the Makai (the demon world), and the strongest of the three. She was born in Scotland in 1678 and quickly adopted by the demon lord. At her birth, Belial foresaw what would happen to her if he didn't do something about her immense power - it would consume and destroy her. To prevent this, he split her soul into three pieces and scattered them out - one remaining with her, one third with Morrigan, one third with Belial, and one third sealed away in a pocket dimension.

Without the knowledge that her soul was split, Morrigan grew up like all succubi do (maturing completely at age ten and staying that way for the rest of her life) and, like all succubi, craved excitement. Life in Castle Aensland bored her greatly, and much to the dismay of her father and her servants, she would always run off to the human world. At one point she was drawn to something - an alien known as Pyron, and the events of the first Darkstalkers took place. Morrigan ran into an old enemy of her father's, Demitri Maximov, the vampire that Belial had banished from the Makai, and fought him to a standstill before he went to face Pyron and absorb his power.

Upon returning to the Makai, Morrigan found her father dying - he had been dying for some time, and had long since cast away his corporeal body to live and rule longer, but he could no longer hold hismelf in the material world, he bequethed unto his daughter not only the title of Queen of the Makai but the piece of her soul that he had been holding from her, telling her the story of her birth.

Now Morrigan Aensland, the unruly succubus who wants nothing more than to go to the human world and have a good time, is left with a position she never wanted, a powered-up vampire who wants her dead for said position, and the knowledge that she's not even a complete being. 

== Abilities ==

Morrigan, as a succubus, has several abilities she can use.

Transformation: She can change her clothing and appearance at will. Like this or this.

Malleable bats: She keeps a flock of bats with her at all times - they are completely under her control, and are completely amorphic, able to change into drills, spikes, jetpacks, to name a few things. They can wrap around her body so she can fight with them as extensions of herself.

Soul Fist is her trademark attack, manifesting her own energy into a golden, bat-shaped projectile shot from her hand (and probably other places if she wanted). A stonger, more draining version of this is called the Soul Eraser.

Darkness Illusion: Having her soul split and put back together left a bit of a "seam," so Morrigan can split into two seperate entities (both being Morrigan), half as strong as she is when both pieces are together.

Succubus traits: Aside from being able to change her appearance at will and look into the dreams of others, Morrigan can attain information from someone by kissing them (whether they want to divulge the information or not), her blood and saliva are natural aphrodesiacs, and her scent causes blood vessels to dilate and perspiration in other creatures (she can have almost complete control over someone with a weaker will than her own if she wanted to, she just likes it more when they resist).

== Personality ==

Morrigan is always seeking some sort of excitement - which is actually a key to her survival. Succubi are a race that quite literally thrive on excitement. If one were to get bored for a long period of time, they would stop secreting a substance within their bodies (triggered by mental or physical stimulation) and die.

To this end, Morrigan is usually in the human world using her abilities as a succubus to seduce the humans and have her way with them. Of course, after three-hundred years, Morrigan has understandably began to tire of the more conventional methods of stimulation, now going for the more violent and kinky, and the never-old look into the dreams of others (this is her favorite).

Morrigan is a bit aloof, a bit flaky, and a lot lustful. She likes to play mind games with people, and generally pokes fun at them and annoys them about various things once she knows how to push their buttons. She's also not very big on responsibility.

Also, she really, really likes bats.
